Intro

Have you tried using home remedies and often wondered what exactly they are preventing or treating? You're not alone. Many people who have gone through the whole long process of balding and hair loss have tried hair treatments for hair loss without realizing what exactly are they trying to prevent or treat.

I have always had a problem with my hair falling. A few years ago I went to both my primary care and naturopathic physicians and asked about the cause of hair loss in women so I could maybe stop it!

Each responded it was stress related, or maybe a type of genetic hair loss,,, probably age? I was not even 40 years back then. I told each that it had always been an issue but they were like “yeah but unfortunately there is nothing to do about it.”

At a much earlier stage when I was still at my early twenties, a doctor checked on me and mentioned some possible hormonal imbalance. With tests, he confirmed there was no issue and that this was all genetic. Now I'm here to say this is NOT TRUE! I spent years losing my hair and cutting it short every couple years cos the longer it gets, the more hair I lose. Now I can confirm I could have saved my hair, and I'm here to help stop hair shedding immediately.

Now let's dive into the root cause >> DHT!

What is DHT?

DHT (di-hydro-testosterone) is a male sex hormone that is converted from testosterone in men and women. It is more though powerful than testosterone in the sense that it causes hair to grow everywhere on the body except on the head, where on the head it sticks to hair follicles. Complicated? Let's go easier on this!

The sensitivity of hair follicles to DHT leads to hair loss, as hair follicles begin to become smaller/miniature, which shortens the lifespan of each hair follicle affected. Eventually, the affected follicles stop producing healthy hair causing a receding hairline (temple hair loss).

Hair Loss In Women And Men

As testosterone is directly linked to men, many would think it does not affect women. Let me surprise you,,,, IT DOES!

The hormonal process of testosterone converting to DHT does happen in both men and women. Under normal conditions, women have much less level of testosterone that men have, but even a lower level can cause DHT- triggered hair-loss in women. Women with too much DHT may develop increased body, facial and pubic hair growth, changes in menstrual periods, and acne. Familiar? Then continue reading! :)

Natural DHT Blockers

This is what you need to look for.. DHT blocker, and natural blockers do exist so don't get yourself stuck into chemicals. For there are foods, supplements, and essential oils that can help when applied topically. Here I will give you the recipe of essential oils and the way to use them to regrow hair naturally in 3 weeks. Not only does this work for women, but also helps hair regrowth in men and can even work as a baldness cure.

DHT Blocking Essential Oil

Rosemary has been under the spot for tons of people around the world recently as a strong factor to regrow hair. However different methods are being "advised" that can't be any effective. For some would give you a recipe of how to make rosemary essential oil at home where they put rosemary in a bottle of oil and leave it for weeks. This is not essential oil.. this is INFUSED oil, and is not as effective as using essential oil which comes ONLY from the plant itself without any addition. The more concentrated the essential oil is, the better and faster the results are!! This means you also need to know how pure the essential oil you get is. The first rule of thumb is to never get cheap essential oils, for essential oils are never sold at stores and on sale. The only local stores I personally have found good quality essential oils at are The Whole Foods Market, Sprouts, and FarmaCa. So before you make your decision to buy, make sure it's a good quality and pure essential oil. Unable to tell?

Now let's go to the recipe and application

You may use rosemary essential oil diluted, but even if undiluted, it is absolutely safe. The fact that essential oils are volatile makes it thought better to, at least, dilute with a carrier at 1:1 ratio which is 1 drop of a carrier oil (ex. coconut oil) to 1 drop of rosemary essential oil.

Recipe

3 drops rosemary essential oil

3 drops carrier oil (ex. coconut oil, olive oil)

Mix them in the palm of your hands and then massage the hairline area/hair crown.

Repeat nightly

No need to rinse after each application

Have thinning hair? Try this:

Add 10 drops of rosemary essential oil to your shampoo, shake the bottle well, and use as always. Prepare yourself for great results!

To compare, take a photo of your hair before you start the treatment and then after 2 weeks and you will see darkened areas in your scalp. Continue 🤩

DHT Blocking Foods

Moderately increase your intake of the below listed foods:

  • Meat: iron and protein

  • protein and Vitamin B

  • Dark green veggies like broccoli, kale, parsley, spinach: vitamins A and C

  • Avocado: omega 3

  • Salmon: omega 3

  • Berries: antioxidants and vitamin C

Alopecia

What is Alopecia?

Alopecia is a bald spot on head, a disease that happens when the immune system attacks hair follicles and causes hair loss in both men and women. While it could affect different areas in the body, alopecia mostly affects the scalp causing hair to fall out in small round patches. Most people with this disease are healthy and have no other symptoms.

I never knew about this before I started studying and researching. I then had friend who suffered from alopecia. She said she had tried tons of treatments and remedies with no luck. For her case I had to go more aggressive with a stronger blend than the one above. In two weeks of application, she called with a very happy tone saying the hair had started growing!! yay! 🤓

Alopecia Treatment Recipe

As this has more essential oils to mix, you need to pre-mix it in a bottle and use daily:

  • 10 drops Lavender essential oil

  • 10 drops Thyme essential oil

  • 10 drops Rosemary essential oil

  • 10 drops Cedarwood essential oil

  • 1 tablespoon Witch hazel

  • 1 teaspoon Black seed oil OR hemp seed oil OR carrot seed oil (optional supporting carrier oil)

  • 5oz spray bottle or dropper bottle

  • Carrier oil (I would use here fractionated coconut oil)

Fill half the bottle with the carrier oil >> add the essential oils and then fill it up with the carrier oil leaking like an inch for shaking. Shake vigorously and have it handy for daily use.

My Success Story

photo comparison of receding hairline before and after treatment

When I first started studying about essential oils, one of the major things I came across was Rosemary essential oil that is a dht blocker for women and men, and how it can help hair regrow. With the fact that there was no clear instructions on how to use it except that it's topical, and how long it wold take to see results, I had to do my own experiment. I got one of the good essential oil brands, an organic one. Before I started applying it, I took a photo of my hairline where I had a one sided receding hairline. I then started applying rosemary essential oil with a carrier oil once a day. I had no need to wash/rinse; it was enough for me to wipe that area off nightly. With constant daily application, I started seeing that area darkening. It was hair!!! I increased the application to twice a day, morning and night, and in 2 more weeks the hair had grown covering that area.

If you have just started on your baldness journey and want to see some quick results without taking prescription pills, essential oil is the way to go. It's easy to use, 100% natural, safe, and works quickly. Once you start seeing results, all you really need to do is keep using it consistently, and eventually (if you're lucky) a full head of hair will be yours.

Cheers! :)
